Lynx Air Baggage Policy, Requirements, and Optional Fees

Lynx Air is a Canadian low-cost airline that provides passengers with the best help and assistance during their flights. The airline is based in Calgary, Alberta, providing people with domestic and international flights. They have the best service for the passengers as they only have to pay what they want in their reservation, which also goes with the baggage. Travelers can even save from the baggage amount up to 33% if they add the baggage online through the official website. They can prove to add the baggage at the time of reservation, through 'Manage Booking", and at the time of check-in. 

What are the things you can take onboard?

Travelers must know certain things that cannot be taken on board for safety purposes by transportation authorities' regulations. However, certain things must be known about baggage in Delta, which are mentioned here for you.  

• The travelers are allowed to carry one personal item of 15cm x 33cm x 43cm (6" x 13" x 17") inches, including Purses, laptop bags, briefcases, small backpacks, tote bags, and more.
• The passengers can take carry-on baggage as per the number of baggage prescribed in the flight class Seats in which you have made the reservation. The dimension and weight of the baggage are required to be 23cm x 40cm x 55cm (9" x 15.75" x 21.5") and 23kg (50 lbs). The carry-on baggage includes small suitcases and small duffel bags. 
• When it comes to checked baggage, the passengers are allowed to carry a large suitcase and duffel bags having a dimension of a maximum of up to 158cm (62")and a maximum weight of 23kg (50lbs).

Smart Baggage

The Smart bags contain a power supply battery used to charge a device. The power supply contains lithium-ion batteries that have the risk of explosion, which is why the passengers have to remove it from their bag if they take it on a plane; however, if they are not able to remove it, then they are not permitted to carry the Smart bag in their flight. 

Carry-on Baggage

The travelers are allowed to carry one personal item as carry-on baggage, which has to get stored under the seat in front of them. The passengers also permit the additional carry-on baggage to pay a certain amount as a fee. 

• Additional carry-on maximum size: (9” x 15.75” x 21.5”)
• Additional carry-on maximum weight: 10kg or 22 lbs.

Musical Instruments

The travelers are allowed to carry musical instruments on the flight. However, they need to pay the carry-on baggage fee for that. The instrument's length, width, and height are required to be less than 113cm (45" 0. If you have an instrument larger than the said dimension, it will be counted as checked baggage. 

Checked Baggage

• The passengers are allowed to carry the checked baggage as per the flight class in which to have made the reservation. 
• They cannot carry any checked baggage if they travel in economy class. 
• However, there is a limit to carrying one checked baggage if you are traveling in a business or first-class cabin. 
• The musical instruments counted under checked baggage must be less than 203cm (80") per length, width, and height. 

Lynx Air baggage fees

Overweight Baggage Fee 

• If the travelers checked baggage weight of more than 23kg (50 lbs), the average prescribed weight, they must pay $99. 
• The passengers can carry a maximum overweight of 45 kg n their checked baggage. 

Oversized Baggage Fee

• Per the airline's baggage policy, the passengers must pay $99 at the airport for any checked baggage with combined dimensions of 158cm (62").
• The maximum dimension of any checked bag is required to be 208 cm (82") in the case of an oversized bag. 
• If there is any sporting good with a 'waived' oversize fee, in that case, it will get counted in the checked-in bag.  

Baggage fee as per the flight distance

• The passengers traveling on a short-haul flight having a distance of (1000km) can have to pay up to $49.99 to $99.99 as per the number of baggage they carry with them. 
• Flights with a median distance of (1000km to 3000km) need to pay up to $49.99 to $109.99.
• Long-haul flights with a distance of over 3000km have to pay up to $59.99 to $119.99.

Additional note

If you are traveling with your bike in that case, these are the few things that must be kept in notice by you. 

• Remove pedals
• Partially deflate your tires
• Remove and fix handlebars sideways
• Pack your bicycle in a bike bag or box to protect your bike and prevent leakage from bicycles containing hydraulic fluid.
