Air Canada Name Change & Correction Policy and Fee

  • You can make changes only to the initial of your name, and you are not allowed to change the full name.
  • You can change up to 2 characters in the middle of your name. 
  • If your name changes due to marriage or divorce, you can change your name, but you need to submit your documents. 
  • You can only make changes to your name one time. After that, they won’t allow you to do that. 

How do I change my name on my Air Canada ticket?

  • First, Visit the official page of Air Canada. 
  • Npw in the menu bar, you will find a ‘manage booking’ option on which you need to click. 
  • Enter your PNR number and last name to let them search for your booking details. 
  • Choose your flight and click on the change option. 
  • You must click the ‘Air Canada name change’ option to change your tickets. 
  • Name correction and other modifications of any personal information are only allowed to be made by travelers here. 
  • Now make the changes in your name as per what you want to make 
  • Pay the fees for the name change that you are required to pay.

How much does Air Canada Charge for the name change?

You can make changes to your flight within 24 hours of booking for free, and if you make the change after that, then the air Canada name correction fee is $60 for your name change. This is the amount that you have to pay. 

Can I call Air Canada to change my name? 

No Airline doesn’t offer name change on the phone. You can either do it online, or you have to visit the Airport for that. 

Does Air Canada allow changes?

Yes, you can make changes to your flight tickets. Air Canada allows you to change your flight 10 minutes before the departure, but you do not have to check-in. 

What if I forgot my middle name on my Air Canada ticket?

Remember to add your middle name. As your first and last name matches the government ID, there is no problem with the middle name. 

Can you transfer an air Canada ticket to someone else?

No, tickets are not transferable, as you cannot transfer your ticket to someone else. If you want to do that, book another ticket for them.
