7. Groups 7 and 8

The customer who has the reservation in Main Cabin is in Group 7

8. Group 9 

  • This group is for the basic economy ticket holders
  • Customers do not apply to AAdvantage status member 

How does American Airlines assign boarding groups?

The boarding groups on American Airlines are divided into two parts. The first group is for Groups 1 to 4, also known as the priority group. This group members will benefit from priority boarding, avoiding the long queue at the airport, earning miles early to get out from the flight, etc. The other group is from Group 5 to Group 9, also known as the main group.
