Terms and conditions for Lufthansa Student Discounts 

• If you book the flight from India, you are entitled to the student discount only for the Europe trip in the Economy class.
• Student fares are applicable only on Lufthansa-operated flights. 
• Student fares can be booked only for one passenger at a time. For multiple students, you are supposed to make reservations separately.
• The students should be 16 years or older, full-time students moving abroad for higher studies, and must have a valid email address and identification, as discussed in the next bullet point.
• An identification card from a valid institution and an admission letter from the university must be sent to Lufthansa’s agent at the check-in counter. If they fail to present these documents, they may have to bear a cost as the fare is published. 
• The name of the Student on all the documents must match the passport. The airline will allow its passengers to change the name on the ticket.
• Lufthansa permits the students to get two baggage weighing 23 kg each for their journey.
• Student fare can be on the flight selection page with a blue dot as Student.
• If you have already booked a flight, Lufthansa does not offer baggage allowance and student discount for such bookings.
• Student fares have a validity until 31st December 2024.
• Ticket fares can fluctuate and thus may change with the time without prior notification to the passengers. Fees, taxes, airport, and carrier charges are applied to the ticket.
• Seats cannot be guaranteed and may only be available on some days as the seats on the flight are limited for the students. 

How to book Lufthansa student fares? 

• Go to the Lufthansa student fare page and continue to verify your status as a Student by presenting the required documents as mentioned in the above paragraph.
• Once you verify yourself, click on your country; for instance, if you are from India, click on Book Student fare from India. 
• Next, proceed with the simple booking process by adding filters such as destination, cabin class, number of seats required, and type of trip, and tap next to get the flight option.
• Select the flight as per your preference and move next to make the payment.
• Once you make the final payment, Lufthansa will send the booking details to your registered mobile number or email ID.

• You must log in to your booking page to cancel, rebook, or reschedule your flight. 
• If you cancel the flight, you may be charged a cancellation fee.
• You must select the student fare option while rebooking to avail the offers of student booking.
