  • Wanna Get Away: It's non-refundable, but flight credit is given on Cancellation. Free same-day standby is allowed, and you can get six rapid rewards per $. 

Delta Airlines Fare class.

Here is the overview of the delta fare class that you must understand. This airline offers
  • First Class/Delta One, in which there are two fares present: Delta One/First Class, which has a Seating position in the aircraft under J, and the second one is the discounted Delta One/First Class, which has C, D, I, and Z seats.
  • Premium Select, you can say this as Preimmum Economy having Seat P, A, and G.
  • Economy/Comfort+: These are fully the main cabin seats, assigned under Y, B, M, W, and S. The Main Cabin has H, Q, K, and L. Discounted fare includes U and T seats, and the rest of the deeply Discounted main cabin Seats are X and V.
  • Basic Economy: This category includes the lowest or, say, budget fares, and the seat is named E.

Delta Loyalty Program: SkyMiles
 
Delta Skymiles offers four tiers of status, each valid for one year, and you must renew your membership to keep the benefits. Here are some points to consider while considering this airline's loyalty program.

  • Free baggage, upgrades, and additional miles are included. 
  • One can upgrade to higher tier status and earn more perks and benefits. 

Baggage Services.

Both airlines allow free baggage to their travellers, and their allowances are given as follows. Remember, there are penalties for overweight and oversized baggage. 

Southwest Baggage Allowance.

It allows one carry-on personal item on board, but the weight limit hasn't been mentioned.
Depending on the fare class, two free checked baggage items not weighing more than 23 kg and 32 kg are allowed.

Delta Baggage Allowance.

  • They allow 10 kg of one carry-on bag to board the plane, and the size should not exceed 45 linear inches in total.
  • Two standard checked baggage items are allowed for free but can be purchased in up to 10 bags.
  • The weight and size limit is 23 kgs and 62 linear inches.
