Turkish Airlines Disability Discount and Benefits, How to Apply

Turkish Airlines Disability Discount amount:

1. Domestic flights: 20% discount on the base fare (excluding taxes, duties, and special fees).

2. International flights: 25% discount on the base fare (excluding taxes, duties, and special fees) for flights departing from or arriving in Türkiye.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who are members of the Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles program and can provide proof of disability are eligible for the discount.
• The discount also applies to one accompanying passenger who is also a Miles&Smiles member.
• You no longer need to present disability documents with every discounted ticket purchase.
• The discount is only valid for Economy Class travel.
• It is not valid for transnational transit flights.
• You can purchase discounted tickets through Turkish Airlines' online channels.

How do you apply for a Turkish Airlines disability discount?

• Book your flight online or through any Turkish Airlines ticketing office.
• During booking, select the "Disabled Passenger" option and provide your proof of disability. Previously, document submission was required with every booking, but as of now, only Miles&Smiles membership verification is needed.
• You can verify your Miles&Smiles membership during booking or at check-in.

Documentation: While formal documentation is no longer required for every booking, it's recommended to carry proof of your disability for verification purposes at the airport.
Wheelchair and assistance requests: Submit any requests for wheelchair assistance or other special services within at least 48 hours of flying to ensure availability.

Terms and Conditions and Documents you need to apply for disability discount

• Turkish Citizens: You must be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye.
• Non-Turkish Citizens: You must have a disability certificate issued by the relevant official authorities of your country of citizenship.
• Miles&Smiles Membership: To enjoy the discount automatically through online channels, you need to be a Miles&Smiles member.

Alternative Document Verification (Optional):

1. Disability identity card: Obtained from the General Directorate of Disabled and Elderly Services under the Ministry of Family and Social Services in Türkiye.

2. Disability health board report: 40% or more disability reports issued by a full-fledged state hospital in Türkiye.

3. Identity card with the phrase "Disabled": For Turkish citizens only.
